HP rating for PTO shaft

Have a 13' Mohawk bat wing shredder, and I busted one of the drive shafts going from the center gear box out to the wing gear box. Clutch on the wing gear box didn't work, but that is another story.

Using the shredder behind a JD 4020 at ~90 HP. I can see that the drive shaft from the tractor to the center gear box needs to be rated for 90 HP, but what about the wing drive shafts? I can see that getting a replacement rated for 90 HP is the safe thing to do, but I got to wondering if it ever sees the full 90 HP, or some lesser amount since the other two gear boxes are taking part of the load?
How are new shredders equipped? All drive shafts designed for the full load?
thanks

Better replace with what it had. Other blades will act as flywheels and feed one another when hitting an obstruction, so immediate horsepower could be far more than a 4020, if clutches weren't working.

Yeah i agree with Roger, if u smoked it a little bit previous years, and didnt take the bolts loose on the slipclutch's, your lucky u just broke a knuckle !
