John Deere side delivery rake models

I have a JD 894A rake that I currently use, I picked up a 894 at an auction that needs some work. I got to talking to the guy who brought that rake to the auction and he said he has another so I could make 1 good rake out of the 2. I am supposed to go get it tomorrow, but he just let me know the other rake is an 858A model. Are these models similar? Will parts change over?
Thanks,
John

Just to add to my original post, looking at some pictures it is obvious that the gear box is different, but I am more interested if the hubs the connect the 2 piece axle are the same, and if the plates on the wheels where you engage the drive are the same, those are the parts I really need. Also if the wheels use same bolt pattern.
Thanks,
John

To look up parts compatibility one needs to access PC234 for 850 series & PC615 for 890 series rakes. It shows either model could have wheels with 4 or 6 bolt pattern & 14'' or 15''. I think either equipment wheel with same bolt pattern will interchange but I'm not sure if many other parts will interchange between different models. The drive hub components have different part numbers which indicates they're built different

The diffrents may be that the 894A has rubber teeth and diffrent stripper hoops to match. The 894 should have spring rake teeth.

They are quite different, from what I have experienced. I think the 858A was an earlier model, had cast spoke type wheels on both ends of the basket, while the 894 has pressed steel wheels. Also believe, like someone mentioned, that the gearboxs are different. I think the 858A is a heavier rake.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I should pass on it, also thanks for the tip about looking up JD parts online, never did that before will come in handy.
