What is the minimum pto power requirement to run a Case International 8312 disk mower/conditioner (rubber rollers). Mainly in grass, or hay grazer on occasion on mostly flat ground.

I personally wouldn't want to run one with less 100hp in front of it. For a given crop condition
the power required is more-or-less proportional to the speed and 100hp should allow you to get into
the 7+ mph range that these machines are designed to work at. (And that's just getting started -
in nice field conditions the machine is capable of cutting at 15 mph if you have enough power.) If
you're short of power and try to compensate by going too slowly the crop flow through the machine
and the resulting windrow formation may not be as smooth.
