Hi:

Any one familiar with this baler. Good or bad?

I am looking at one and would like your thoughts. I had the person run the baler. I can hear a bearing squealing so I know at least one bearing needs to be replaced. Person says the bearing is in the pickup. Is this difficult to replace?

Thanks for you thoughts.

Well that baler is old enough to vote!!! LOL The bad about this baler is that it is a closed throat baler. Meaning all the hay has to go through a set of compression rolls. If the hay your baling has a single arm load of tough hay it will wrap those rolls. Then it has all narrow belts. You have to have some skill and know the tricks to get bales started in slick hay/straw. IF not you will get a ball of hay, that just before it starts rolling in the chamber, will pop between the belts. Then you have to stop and dig it out or risk breaking belts. It also helps if you have a good evenly rakes windrow.

With these faults and a bearing bad, the baler does not have much value. Not much above scrap price. $500-750 around me.
