JD roll-over turning plow

I have a guy wanting to trade me a 3x16 hydraulic roll over plow. I don't know what model or age it is. The rotator motor has been rebuilt. Supposed to be in good condition but needs clean up and paint. He has been asking $1000 for it but I don't plan on putting anywhere near that in it. Where is the market on these plows? Located in North MS. Thx.

Does it have bolt-together frame (825) or does it have a square beam (835 (shear bolt),845 (trip bottom))? If it is really in good condition, $1000 is a low price. But if the wear parts are bad, you could spend a grand on them alone. Also, options are important - coulters, gauge wheel, etc will greatly affect price. Post pics.

Rollovers are popular(and common) in the furrow irrigated areas of the western USA.Once in a while one makes it's way to the nonirrigated areas.$1000 is about par for that plow if it is the newer 835. A bit steep(but not out of line) for the older 825.

.... any old plow as long as it?s not completely destroyed is worth more than this thing
