855 drum bearing

Big rubber drum in the bottom of the baler, bearing on sprocket side has a catch, breaking shear bolts when I get half a bale in there.

Got the sprocket off and the bearing eccentric collar...and it looks like I gotta drop the drum to replace the bearing? Hoping I'm wrong.....

Got any how-to's?

Thanks

Fred (who has 30 acres mowed and rain 2 days away)

N H ? May not be bearing. They had problem of bottom roller breaking. Showed up about half roll. The tube is spiral welded. Really noticeable when roll left in then pull pickup.

Unhooked the pickup and drive chains, there is a definite rough spot in a bearing.

Hope that's all it is, time for a newer baler if the roller does turn out to be broken.

Just finished up welding broken roller on my 664 NH. Wasn't that bad except had to take it all apart first. Got my haying done this morning with it now its pouring rain.
