pto implement yoke size

Probably a ignorant question here.
the pto shaft that I have works for different implements I have But on my post hole digger the implement shaft is smaller than the pto's yoke. Is there a bushing I can use? or do I have to buy a totally new pto shaft?

sorry for the stupid question but I am ignorant on a lot of these things, any input would be appreciated.....

PTO shafts are not a one size fit all thing. I bet there is over 10 different sizes and shapes of them. I know I can go out to my shop and grab old PTO shafts I keep and have 5 different size and shapes of them. So in other words yes you need to get the correct shaft. Many farm and home stores have them

Are you saying the 6 spline shaft coming out of the gearbox on the post hole digger is smaller than the end of your complete PTO shaft assembly? Or is it round, with a hole for a shear bolt?

I'm guessing, by what you're saying, that you're not trying to mix and match PTO shaft parts, but you have a complete PTO assembly with universal joint and yokes on each end?

There are splined adaptors for older tractors with small PTO shafts which take it up to the standard 1.375" size. I think the smaller shaft was 1.125" ?

If round on round, then a bushing/sleeve/spacer ought to be easy to come up with.
