john deere model 34 manure spreader

Greetings,

I have a John Deere model 34 manure spreader I'm using to spread chicken litter.
The problem is that when full it will start out spreading just fine, then quit.
I wait a minute and it will start again. I bought this spreader 4 months ago, it
is in very good condition, barn kept and maintained. Any help greatly appreciated.
 
34 spreader and very good condition shouldn?t appear in the same sentence. 33?s and 34?s were junk when they were brand new.

Does the beater quit, or does the apron chain quit moving or both?
