Hay hay hay

Well-known Member
I have been using my Haybob360 mainly as a tedder, but I have all the hay gates and deflectors to use it as a rake. It would be nice not to need to switch tractors and equipment by doing tedding and raking with one machine.
The manual explains all the settings, wheel height, tine angles, etc. In your experience what are the most productive raking settings for fairly heavy grass hay? If I try to rake with the tines in the tedd position will I break tines?
The tine lift springs are all new and work well.

Many thanks for your experienced input.

We always change the teeth angle as you are also changing the rake frame angle to switch from ted to rake. Possibility of breaking teeth in any rake whether you or someone else is running the rake. Just a fact of life. That is why they make spare parts. If You try to rake with the tines in the ted position they will probably hit the deflectors on the rear of the rake. Hopes this sheds some light on this.
