Gehl 95MX Mix All

What size screen do I need to grind up ear corn with a Gehl 95MX Mix All grinder into an almost powdered state and where would I get the screen from? Thank you.

I've always run a half inch screen for ear corn in every grinder I've ever had. Any bigger, you'll get pieces of cob they won't eat.

What are you feeding the ground corn too???? IF it is cattle than I would NOT grind it to powder. Leave it a little coarser and your cattle will have less change of digestion issues. Usually use a 5/8". IF your feeding hogs than you need shelled corn ground powder fine.

I use a half inch for eared corn. I use a steer stuffer and if I grind it any coarser they get picky and will leave the junks of ear in the bottom and pick out the corn. I agree with JD on the pig feed and shelled corn. I grind the same as the pig feed for my chickens and turkey feed.

I just brought a new 1/2 screen for the, new to me, Arts-Way grinder I brought a year ago. 240 bucks from Arts-Way including the 40 dollars for shipping. When I goggled it I found several sources for screens for the different makes of grinders. A guy in Ohio will custom make a screen for you. The main reason I changed to the Arts Way is because they are still making them and can get parts for them. I ordered that screen and two days later I found it on my front porch. Like anyone though, they are not cheap.
