JD 1460 MoCo

If it?s neen taken care off that one thing if it hasn?t I wouldn?t touch it disc mowers scare me with as much as can go wrong with them

What do you mean about old technology? We have a 1219 JD conditioner. Works good, no trouble. But I thought it was old technology.

The new ones have a sheer hub to protect the gearbox but they?re also probably ten times the money for one like he?s looking at

I would rather have a good haybine than that machine. Unless it is in great shape and you have no rocks. Like mentioned below the cutterbar is a Khun and parts are way overpriced. I had a 411 New Holland that also used a Khun cutterbar with many of the parts being the same. My NH dealer told me to get rid of it no matter what color machine I bought. I bought a Deere 920 in decent shape a few years ago for $4000. Tom

I own a 2 1360s and a 1460. First one was bought in 1999 and its still runs good. I put 150-200 acres each year though it with 2 cuttings. If you buy parts from deere to repair it it can be expensive. There are other places to but parts that are MUCH CHEAPER. It might be true its old technology, but so am I. The hay that comes out the back of the newer high priced machines has the same value as out the back of my "old technology". It Does a good job without payments. Al
