Converting Ford 515 sickle mower to Hyd lift

Getting deeper into the 515 sickle mower I bought on Saturday. Looks like all I will need to do is repair or replace is the cutter bar which is broken where it connects to the wobble shaft. Bearings feel OK turning the pulleys by hand and everything else looks pretty good.

Wondering if anyone has converted one of these to a hydraulic lift. I have rear remotes on both of my tractors and it doesn't look to be too difficult a job to remove the lift linkage and replace it with a hydraulic cylinder. Thinking with hydraulics controlling the lift would make it a little more versatile for mowing ditch banks.

That end piece is just a rivet one piece with a hole in it to fit the wobble box parts. I'd sell just that or the whole bar. I have not looked but I am pretty sure I could walk out and put my hands on that bar in under 30 minutes. Probably take more time to pull it out of where it is then to find it

No hurry, if you get a chance to check it's length. If it's not an 8 foot bar I would need the whole thing.

Re read your post a little more carefully... Was first thinking you were talking about both the cutter bar and the fixed bar. Now I see you were just talking about the piece with the hole in it. Not sure what I will need, sent you an email and will know more when I get it in the shop and start taking it apart.

Thanks...
