Need a little clarification...which line do I remove to test for a internal cylinder leak? I tried what I thought was the "return line"...the line coming from ram side of the cylinder, marked B on the valve. When I did that and started it back up oil shot from the B port of the valve. So am I supposed to remove the line returning to the tank, marked "out" on the valve? Thanks

WHEN did oil shoot from the B port on the valve?

If it did that while the valve is centered, your valve is bad. No oil should shoot from the A or B ports with the valve centered.

However, if oil shot when you moved the valve lever, then you moved the valve lever the wrong way and applied pressure to the open port. Oil would understandably shoot from that port in that situation.

The lever was tied to the extend position which should be putting pressure to the "A" port. Oil started coming from the open "B" port when started. I did find another way to test cylinder, cap pressure line and plug hole in cylinder with ram extended half way, try to retract...ram did not move meaning to no oil bypass inside cylinder. So whatever I have going on is not due to a bad cylinder, I'm thinking it must be the valve. Gonna plumb in a gauge between valve and cylinder on the pressure line and see what I have...Thanks
