sv. one of the tricks I learned with a scraper many years ago was to load it about half full for final grading when you got all your road roughed in, having it half full keeps it nice and steady, you will be filling in the low spots and cutting the high spots leaving a nice smooth finish. I ran a 25 yard cat scraper behing a d7e for the c.p. railway working on right of way and rail bed. did a beautiful finishing job.

I found the same applies to a tractor front loader.

That?s one thing I don?t like about this scraper is there is no
way to just feather dirt out of it it?s either digging loaded or
dumped but for what i want to do with it I can make it work I
think I am going to hitch it with a 3 point drawbar so can
control the cut a little bit more

Yip she sure does ! Been thinking about digging a new pond
that?s lower and below the power pole but I?m afraid external_link
will through me in prison do to the wotus rule after all a cow
took a leak there once so now it?s a body of water

Well it looks like a libtard has been buy and got his little feelings hurt anyway I talked the usda office formerly knows as the ascs office asked if I can build a new pond or rebuild this or do i need a permit because of wotus i said i want to do it the right way or not at all he said call the army Corp of engineers and gave me the number so we may not be building a pond after all

Ten years ago I wanted to clean out the pond between my place and my neighbors. I knew that conservation people could have a major problem with it, but I also knew that it had been dug originally as a fire protection pond, and may be exempt. I checked into it and found that I was exempt from any regulations and I was able to go right ahead with no permitting. You may find that it is easier than you think.

Look forward to pics of her in use,, I repaired a well over 100 yearold dam that let go a few years back,, the people who take care of dams/ponds here came out and looked at it after I had done the repair,, she said as long as I had not added any height to it or added dirt to the backside of it I was all good to repair with no permit needed, first pic shows the breach after I had cut it down and widened it so I could drive through and pack it correctly,, I moved well over 400 yards of dirt with my 4 yard scraper on this job alone, one pic shows when I was cutting it down to get tot he bottom,, the reason mine failed was they did not cut out the grass before they starting building the dam and it always leaked under it the grass from over 100 years was still there, last few show the breach and some when I was cutting it down more so the rest would rain out so i could start the repairs

I sure hope it turns out that way but I?ll do what I need to I
don?t need to be on the news well it would never make the
mainstream media but it might make the farm report

That is a nice set of dirt moving equipment you?ve got there wow . I?m excited to try this thing out and figure out all the tricks to using I am hoping I can figure out how to do what cm says and pack some dirt and fill the low spots and take the high spot off

hen you pull the rope to trip the bucket to dump, keep the rope tight and it should stop at a 90 degree angle to the ground and it will spread the dirt somewhat.
