Farmhand Front Loader - Please Help!

Howdy All,

Newbie and need some help.

Have a very late 80s MF-231 with a Farmhand Front Loader (white) don't know the exact model (White, mostly square tube construction and no place to install supports from what I can discern looking at it.)

I SHOULD have come here FIRST!

- Trying to remove to transport more handily.

- Started the job and realized that I've no real clue how to do this.

- Loader if off - sort of, but still attached to hydraulics.

Can't find a manual. Can't find videos of this or any Farmhand model for that matter.

- Unit connects to tractor in via an undercarriage mount, which I believe is "permanent" and not the quick part of this.
- Two clamping devices on rather stout round tubing near driver's feet.
- Yoke/pivot point parallel to ground on front of tractor near radiator is where the unit pivots up/down and stays stable.

I got all of the connection points off. Bucket is on the ground now and the side arms are resting on my wheel gear (struts) and turning arms.

I'm ------ with myself. Need to understand how to get this off and on effectively (I'm essentially a solo act.)

Would love a manual and a demo of how this thing goes on and off.

My sincere gratitude for the assistance.

Respectfully,

If it's farmhand model 22 there should be 2 support stands between the main lift cylinder upper mount and the bucket pivot pin, one on each side that you unpin and swing down to support the loader while you back the tractor away from it.

Greetings,

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I'm reasonably certain this is a Model 22, there are two brackets with T-bolts located on either side of the bucket arms, forward of the mounting yoke, and angled back in the direction of the front of the tractor.

I only discovered these mounts while in the process of jacking up the unit so I could align the cross-member/pivot point with the front mounting yoke.

In the end I had a neighbor, with more experience than I assist in the job. It was a tenuously and gingerly done job so as to be safe.

That said, I DO NOT see the parts necessary. In purchasing this unit used, these support struts were/are missing.

If anyone has a part number, dimensions, picture(s) of these support struts -I'd be deeply appreciative.[/b:6870030964]

I'm going to go back to the guy who sold us the unit and see if I can't get him to track these down and supply them for me.

Having these support struts would make this a five minute job at best.

Again, thank you most kindly for your reply: helpful indeed.

I finally discovered the exact model and sn: NOT Model 22

Thank you again.

Farmer, will measure mine for you tomorrow. Mine are right next to the shop door. Piece of flat plate and channel iron. If you need a book you can contact Agco.

(quoted from post at 01:07:54 04/12/18) Type in "Dunham Lehr 2c loader and you will find all kinds of info.

Honestly didn't exactly think of doing that: something akin to the 10 year old who says, "Let the air out of the tires!"

Thanks...

You're a gent and a scholar. Thank you for taking the time to get and post the information.

Most appreciated.

Happy planting!
