looking at the pic here sv. I see a few holes corroded right through, if that's the case sv it may be too late for that controller. water etc. getting in there freezing?? maybe try people who have been suggested above, see if they have a rebuilt one in stock? core charge send your in and they send you a new rebuilt one? maybe e bites. did you get the box open and have a look at whats inside there?
 
I second Ag-express. I've used them for my planter monitor (Dickey-John seed count). They also rebuilt the brain box in my 4-175 after I fried it hooking up a "hi frequency" battery charger without disconnecting them from the tractor. Good folks and reasonable pricing.
 
Meyer salvage in Aberdeen SD had a few of those parted out one had a fire I got other parts off of it some years ago I don't remember what the rest looked like but they might have a useable replacement. Fair warning they like to price things high but it might be worth looking into. Their number 605-225-0185 from experience it you are within driving distance its worth it to drive and look at it before buying if not shipping is an option just be careful
 
something I just thought of about running these balers is the rubber flaps on the Starter roller at the bottom of the bale chamber just above the pickup. you can see them well when the door is open and you are standing behind the machine. these flaps need to be long enough to kinda cover the bolt heads of the next flap. when they get short and fit down behind the next flap it gets real hard to start a bale in certain kinds of hay. and if the drive chain for that roller falls off its almost impossible to get a bale started.
