PTO Yoke pin?

Has anyone ever seen this type of pin? I am trying to remove the black shaft from the brown splined shaft but the black shaft yoke has this weird looking pin in it that looks pressed, but it appears threaded. I have tapped in it with a punch a and sledge but it wont budge even after soaking in PB blaster. I need to get the pin out to take the black shaft to a driveline shop and cut it down because its too long.

The symbol in the first photo identifies it as a Bondioli and Pavesi driveline.

They used several styles of yoke restraint pins, if yours is threaded, the following applies:

The threaded end originally had a Nyloc nut on it to hold it in place.

That is the end that needs to be tapped on to remove it.

The notch in the splined shaft may have beat it up in that area making it tough to remove, especially if the telescoping parts of the driveline weren't moving freely.


Does the yoke move inward or outward on the splines a bit, the pin may come out easier at one of those extremes.
