DMI Tiger II vs. Brillion Land Commander II

My cousin got a little bid-happy and now has both DMI and Brillion disk-rippers. Both 5-shank with disks before and after the rippers. DMI seems like it's a little heavier built, Brillion is longer and has disks in gangs rather than individually mounted. Brillion's rippers are straight teeth, while the DMI has "wings" on the teeth. I'm thinking the Brillion might pull a bit easier, but the DMI will do more fracturing of the hardpan. Any thoughts on this? Any of you have a preference between these machines? Will be pulling it with a Ford (Steiger) FW60 (335 h.p.) with 20.8x38 duals.

The DMI will be hard to beat. They work well and really loosen the ground up. Parts are easy to get as well since CIH bought the tillage tool part of DMI.

Thanks. Our nearest NH dealer also handles Brillion, so no problem either way, there. Both machines are in good shape, and while I don't remember exactly what he paid for either one, I know it was a lot less than ones I've seen advertised. He even got an extra set of new teeth with the Brillion.

Simple solution--keep them both and buy another Steiger---Tee
