Im needing the rod that holds the plow share to the moldboard. It has a ring on one end that goes around the stud built onto the back of the plow share. Any ideas where to look?

Don't know if it is correct for your bottom. I don't know if they were fairly universal or were unique to the different plow bottom series without looking in the parts book. What is your moldboard part number?

The moldboard shouldn't matter, as the shaft of the bolt goes through a hole in a part that is bolted to the moldboard.

Farmallb, for your edification: the PO-4 moldboard plow parts book from 1947 lists about 40 different styles of plow bottoms that International Harvester supported for replacement parts at the time. And that doesn't count the different variations of Plow Chief, Super Chief, and TerraFlow bottoms that came later. These different plow bottom styles were developed to suit different soil conditions found across the county and around the world wherever IH sold moldboard plows. Some of these plow bottom styles shared parts across the different styles, some used parts unique to that series, namely the moldboard. Telling me you have a 2-14" steel wheel plow tells me NOTHING about the parts that make up the plow bottom. All that tells me is you have a plow that was built before 1970-ish. The moldboard part number tells me EVERYTHING I need to know because that was the unique part that defined the style of plow bottom.

The draw bolt in the link I posted is correct for a wide range of plow bottom styles such as the GA, HA, KA, and HSKA, that were common from 1929-1950's. But, the BA and BBA series that were common "out east" used a different draw bolt and the SL and SSL slat bottoms also use a unique draw bolt. And, if you have a plow older than 1929 it is possible to have a different draw bolt again.

Well, Ive had to hunt for shares for 30yrs. Ive got around 1/2 doz here now, and they all did fit at one time or another. They all got diff numbers.
