if you had a choice between a tox o wik and a farm fan grain dryer, which would you choose?

Farm Fans. Bought a 1979 model in 1988, still works fine, very few repairs. I like the auto load/unload, then shuts itself off when the wet bin is empty.

Farm fans. Tox-o-wic constantly auguring grain. Grinds it up to much.

I like the tox o wic type. Very simple. I have never had trouble with corn being ground up. They have a simple built in screen if you want to remove fines.

Tox O Wik is a ok dryer,but there was another PTO brand that was very similar, it was called a Mouridge or a Moundrige, it only take a 40 horse tractor to run either one. The ony thing you might want to do is check the gear box on the bottom that run's the big upright auger, to make sure it's going to run the season,and change the grease in it.

Almost all parts are still available for even the older Farm Fans. Not sure about Tox-o-wick.
