Hi Guys,
I searched the forums and read a few different threads about these machines. I learned a lot already, but now am interested in your opinions of worth. Mom is selling this and we don't know how much to ask for it. $100 or $500?
Located in NE Wisconsin. The machine works, was used last year for about 12 acres of pasture mowing. It's not pretty but sure is a heavy, solid piece of equipment. TIA.

I bought one a few years ago to cut corn stalks to bale. Wasn't near that nice. The guy was asking $600. I got it for $500.

Dan, We had the same machine. They are tough if you weren't quick enough with the hydraulic lever it would level off wood chuck mounds. We also windrowed corn stalks and round baled them which worked good for that. If you were closer I'd want it to mow my pasture and around some hay fields. I think it would work better than my 3 point bush hog especially the back swath.

I bought one of those and one that pulls behind the tractor at an auction a couple years ago both in good shape and looked good with the cylinders on them for $200 each.

Dan, I'll have your money! Which area of the east coast are you headed? I'm about an hour from Albany N.Y. and supposed to have more snow Tuesday. I been pushing snow for days and working on the truck too! Fan clutch seized up solid and after 12 hours plowing and I spent 3 hours robbing a fan off a parts truck and stuffing it on mine. Life is Good! lol

I have 1 here a little newer than that, give a couple hundred for it over 30 years ago. They can beat up fine
alalalfa hay. I mowed several hundred pic acres with it. If you sharpen those paddles and slow down you can
make a rough old field look like a golf course fairway.

Yea they are rough on anything with leaves,I used mine to cut about 4 acres of fescue that hadn't been cut for 2 years in a low poorly drained field did a great job on that.
They are pretty slow but will cut about anything.
