IH #8 plow trip lever

Does anyone know if the trip levers are cast or steel, mine somehow broke today and the broken ends look like cast or potmetal but it looked like it could have been welded to?
Also the pitman arm that goes from the frame to the arm out of the clutch lift, are they the same on a hydraulic lift?? I tried my arm off my 3 bottom hydraulic and it seemed to work..

Hi I say levers are cast. Arm are different lengths. I have levers. Thanks Steve 419-618-0017

Have 6 # 8 plows and I am pretty sure they are steel. Have had them break away from tractor, break the rope but never hurt the lever. Do not think cast would take that without breaking off. I guess you are talking about the lever the rope attaches to.

Yes Dave S, the trip rope lever is what
Im referring to, I assumed they were
steel but where mine broke it looked
like cast.
