My 8N is leaking oil gear lube through left rear ax seal- i heard that is to do with oil level in rear being to high-it shows in middle of range on dip stick - replaced seal and it still leaks any info would be welcome

It would be better if you post this down in the 9N/2N/8N forum down below you will get a lot more answers there

A bearing should be tight enough when installed that you cannot feel any play at all

hat means i will have to replace every bearing on this old girl.lol. Thanks for response

If you ever notice when you handle a new bearing how tight it is that is how any bearing should be and if that bearing in turn has a oil seal it runs close to then it has to be tight or the seal will be moved all around so it in turn leaks

IF it turns out the bearing is servicable, you may be able to get Same-size seals that have thinner outside shells and Double that seal..Both installed to hold oil IN..
