So I ordered a new sickle for the no.8 mower it came in the other day but two came I paid and took one. the next day the manager o the store called and said she owed me the other sickle 114$ for two sickies complete with heads is Pretty good deal I think

I ordered one just the knife with sections and head but two got sent to the store I told the manageri only
wanted the one paid for it and left the next day the lady called and said that I was supposed to take the
other knife I said ok thanks and waited about a week and decided I would go get the other sickle . I still
feel like I should return it

I would hang onto both, if you have any issues with the new one, hit something or break it you have a quick change out and your back mowing! as my dad used to say "it's better to be looking at it than for it" if they figure out they shipped 2 and got paid for 1 run in and pay for it :lol: at $114.00 it's still a good deal.

anyway . Don?t know if I should bring it up again . I
was thinking now if I put new knife sections on the
old sickle I?ll have good sickles ready to go .
 
IF you do decide to replace the SECTIONS, Replace them ONE AT A TIME. DONT take a;ll the old sections off at once nd then replace them with the new.
 
I can?t either but he must have a reason? I? measured the knife heads on these new knives and they 1/4 inch narrower than the one that came out of the mower guess I?ll be swapping heads
 
Before doing that check to make sure you were sent the correct knife. Should be a part number on head to tell if it is actually for that mower or a different make and talk with dealer. Wrong assembly may have been shiped as well as doubling up the order.
 
If it is the correct head on the new knief then the old one was not the correct knief. Knidf could be from ather make and not fit correctly in your mower even if it was in there. If the new head has the correct part number then that is what I would use.
