Hi

Just got a back blade. Needs a lot of work, but price was right. I have not been able to figure out what brand it is, all that is readable on the label is "little john". Anyone seen one like this?

Interesting how the "JOHN" looks to be an exact copy of the John in John Deere. What's the word in front of little? What's the label on the other end say?

The word in front of "little" I suspect is the manufacturers or resellers brand. I cannot make anything of it. The label on the other end is even less readable. There are some fragments of vinyl that would be consistent with the lit of little, and some glue residue that would make the outline of "john" so I am just guessing it was the same label on both ends. There is some paint residue in between the rust that appears to be a red or orange color. It appears to be original paint.

Looks like a common aftermarket 'shortline' blade. One company made blades(other stuff) for others and rebadged accordingly.I wouldn't get too excited. Just clean it up and paint it whatever color that you like or matches your tractor and enjoy.Add whatever decals you want.IH;JD;Ford;AC..............

That is interesting. The guy who gave it to me said it was with some implements that came with an 8N he bought about 15 years ago.

It does resemble the King Kutter 6' Professional Rear Blade PRB-72 frame part that attaches to the tractor, though the part that connects to the top link is different. Of course this thing is pretty old:)

WooHoo internet is back.

I am sure you are right about the origin. As to cleaning, painting... Not likely. I will repair or reproduce the bad part, put t back together, and put it to work:)
