Thinking about modifying my farmhand f11 loader mounts so that The loader sits about 2 feet farther forward than it does now I don?t think it would stick out much farther than other brands of loaders do had anybody else tried it?

Seems like that would be a lot more stress on the front axle. I've heard the front ends on the 3020/4020 are a little weak to start with

I?ve heard that to but I don?t believe it I?ve never
ever had an issue with the front axle and growing up
hauling round bales on the 3 point I would let the
clutch out and lift the front end then it would slam
down and I?d head to the stack yard . But maybe the
extra 2 feet would be the straw that broke the
camels back

The one I have on my 800 Case is almost far enough forward to get on from the front, but I don't think I have ever seen one set up where you get on that way. I would be more afraid of making the back of the tractor light. I know my old Case is a whole bunch solider on the back the the MXU130 ever dreamed of being. I need to rebuild the bale forks for mine. 2 7/8 pipe isn't near STRONG enough.

(quoted from post at 19:33:26 01/29/18) I'm just sick of crawling over the rear axle to get on

If you're going to be modifying and fabricating anyhow, wouldn't it make more sense to fabricate some steps that would make getting on the tractor easier?

There has to be some reason that you used to be able to buy a kit to put a Case front axle under them for loader use.

I?ve heard people breaking them but I?ve not been able to do it I?m sure glad growing up nobody told me I had a week front axle (carrying 2 4x4x8 bales at 1600 pounds each )

The more I look at it the more I think it?s not going be a very good idea I would have to extend almost 3 feet to make it worlk so I guess I?ll just leave it the way it is

I think the dish of the wheels and the width that you have them set out makes quite a difference. There was a guy here who parted out quite a few things back in the day. He had a loader on one. I needed a gear box out of a feed grinder that he had parted. He went out and lifted it up with the 4020 and moved it just a little, complaining about how he'd already broken three spindles on it and now I wanted him to pick up that heavy thing. He had a pair of rims on there that were reversed and sticking out there about a foot from the spindles. Everything was bowing so bad I think he'd have broken another one of a sparrow had landed on that thing.

Ya I keep mine set on the narrowest width I've only broke one rim and it was a wagon rim I've been thinking I should get me some of those wheel reenforcment rings
