I have one we used it on a Ferguson 35 it worked good but if you filled it all the way up it was about all that tractor could handle its way better than a shovel. Randy

I bought one used some years back to use with my Ford 640. It "scoops" well, but is difficult to trip the lever to dump the load unless I lower the full scoop down to the ground to take the weight off. I'm guessing that I might improve the tripping function with some filing, bending, lubrication or ????? If someone has some hints, I would like to know.

I?m going to put it on my 3020 I need to clean my stock water pond out and I think this would be just the thing for the job

I have one that's been used about 8-10 hours. Its Howse branded I think. 5000 Ford is kinda overkill but that's what I got.

640 Ford is around 30HP give or take a few HP. NEB. test list has the 640 gas at 31HP

They bring a couple hundred around here, don't see them every year though.

Was thinking on one myself.

Don't think I would try to make it dump easier might start dumping when you don't want it to not good. Randy

I have a Ford 706
its a good tool for those of us poor boys without front end loaders,

this one will dig and works well in reverse just be sure to use your stabilizer bars.

was originally blue color, but everything else I have is red so it got painted red.

I bought one just like the one in your picture, it was red and cost me $96 new from the dealer. This was back in the 1950s. Ford changed the color to blue after a while. I still have the bill around here somewhere.

One advantage of the "Dearborn" scoop is that you will not get "hung up" when you dump it. They are "double jointed" and will ride up and over the dumped material from previous dumps or the one you just dumped. They also seem easy to dump when I used the one I have.

However, they are not "reversible".
