Flare box on Wagon gear with brakes

Can anyone tell me who made a running gear with brakes. The gear seem to have some green paint, not really interested in selling. I have it listed on Craig's list Quad Cities in Iowa. There are pictures there. Thanks in advance and info will be greatly appreciated.

I know that company in Arthur Illinois did,[Trail Ease, or something like that]but that was a long time after the flare box had made it's run, and they were painted red. Maybe John Deere did too.

You have advertised it as IH and what I can see of the hubs it sure looks like that to me.

I know Deere had two and four wheel brakes listed in the Owners/Parts manual for the 953 gears. If memory serves me they listed
both Hand brakes like yours and ones that were actuated by inertia, my memory is a bit fuzzy on this part but I do know brakes
are listed.

Hand brake like yours is more for use with horses but interesting to see.

Thank you, I was told when I bought it it was an IH gear. My intention was to transfer the box to a JD 953 but now I kinda hate to split it up. Also thank you for putting the CL ad up, like I said not really interested in selling.just looking for more info The green paint had me a little confused because of the consistency in fading over the entire gear and looks more like Oliver or New Idea green.

The close up portion of the wheel says it definatly is a McCormick gear. McCormick is the only company to use that wheel and it was also used on other machinery in the line up. Odd and hard to find when needed but aviable.

If you don't want top sell it why do you have it listed? To me Craigslist should be a place for serious sellers not tire kickers.

Haha exactly, and he is probably the first guy to cry about craigslist buyers wasting his time and playing games!

Thank you for everybody who participated in a
positive way to help me determine what type of
wagon I had. As for the other two morons The
wagon just sold for $800.00, In the future if you
don't have something constructive to add, Just
keep your mouth shut or should I say pretty easy to
let your fingers do the talking !!!

Interesting how he didn't want to sell it but brags to us "morons" that he sold it, craigslist is a funny place for sure!
