2 nd. ih-100 sickle mower home

good evening all got the second ih-100 sickle mower home from kindersly sask. last night, 550 kilometers each way! long trip but sure worth it. you can sure tell the difference having equipment stored inside out of the sun and the weather. original tires from 1967! it needs sections, guards, hold downs, and some u joints on the drive shaft, a little tlc and she will be ready to cut the hay :lol: brian the owner had it hooked up to his kabota tractor when I got there and we ran it, sure is smooth running compared to my case t-10 pitman mower! no rattling, clacking, and shaking. brian showed me his dads first tractor bought in 1953 an ih wd6 gas, restored! looks like it left the dealership yesterday. that tractor used to pull the mower I bought 8) here's some pics

Similar to 1100 except tube shroud on pto. 1100 also has belt enclosed. Ours is a 9 ft.

there sure is quite a difference in how smooth it runs compared to the case pitman drive, looking forward to getting it tuned up and seeing what it will do on this heavy alfalfa I have here. gb. do's the jetstar 2 have a 3 pt hitch?

Good looking mower and it has the offset axle/wheels too thats a big plus when you're turning a corner.Like that Lincoln welder too can't beat them,I have a small gas powered one with a 12 HP
Kohler motor.

T.F. there is a rule in the welding world that if you follow you won't go to far wrong, if your doing stick welding you buy Lincoln and if your doing wire feed (mig) you buy miller, Lincoln has never built a decent wire feed mig welder compared to miller. the best miller migs are the millermatic 200 or 250. every body shop in our area has one or more. you can dial them down to weld cigarete paper or dial them up to weld 1/2" plate. you can expect to pay nearly full price for a used one, people who have them are loath to sell them! miller has never built a stick welder that welds as smooth or nice as the lincolns, Lincoln has the d.c. best weld out put, the best of the Lincoln stick welders is the sa-200 a pure dc output, but you have to use dc rated tools with it (the 125 volt out put for grinders etc. is pure dc)
