Anyone have a 530 Ford parts baler?

Have a neighbor that has a 530 Ford baler that is in need of some parts. He needs what the operators manual calls a roller assembly which is by the front of the slip clutch on the flywheel. It kind of looks like a front wheel hub. It allows the baler to "free wheel" when you shut the pto off on the tractor. Anyone have a parts baler?

I don't, but I have two neighbors with 3 between them. None of them are used anymore. I don't know where you are, but I am in north central Ky.

In Southwest Minnesota. Any contact info you can find out on them? He doesnt use the baler for much than some straw bales for the calves anymore. I can get a picture of the piece he is looking for.

Could you make a solid connection there and put a over run clutch on the tractor PTO same as used on non live PTO tractor with rotary mower? Should not make a difference on freewheeling baler to stop if clutch is at front end or back end of shaft.

That baler was made by New Idea. IIRC, My brother in law modified a NewHolland clutch assembly to his 530.

Ford 530 is a Long 680 which also made balers for MM, Oliver, etc. Later models were a New Idea/Ford configuration.

This is a picture of the cast iron hub (complete with internal parts) that he is looking for.
