What would cause the right wing blades to contact the center blades on our 1508 mower? It happens when the right wing is angled down. The tips of the blades will contact each other occasionally under the right conditions. I cannot believe they need to be "timed", as each
wing gear box has its own slip clutch. The hinges do have some slop, but not enough to cause the problem. The left wing blades have never
done this and that hinge is just as sloppy.
The other day when mowing and this happened, I did "time" the right wing to not hit the center blades by loosening the slip clutch, and
the problem did not return that day. I can't believe the problem won't return once the clutch slips again.....Am I missing something that
may be in the long lost manual?
Thanks!!
