Help with IH 720 plow. When I put the plow in the ground the back wheel wants to steer to the right. Does anyone know how to fix this problem

Never owned one; But 1) How much experience with this plow do You have? 2) Are Parts worn? 3) Does it pull straight when out of the ground? 4) Anything bent, twisted, or warped? 5) Is plow properly set? which leads to 6) Do You have an owners manual?

If the plow pulls straight when raised, & pulls sideways when lowered it typically means its not level front to back. BUT... Bearings in the axle, The hitch, & loose steering joints can all add up to too much play in the entire steering system. Also WHAT TRACTOR? I bought a new Kioti brand tractor in December with a 3pt hitch that just is insanely out of match with some implements. A JD 709 bush hog, 2013 model wont raise up the backend when in working position; but if You raise the back end up when in transport, & lower it to work the tailwheel will sit 12 inches off the ground! I am looking for a new tractor again!

Hope this helps; but again never had one on the farm! & I prefer pull types any day over 3pt's.

Technically a 720 would be a 2 point semi mount, anyhow all that I have seem.

Without seeing it it is hard to say if it is plowing itself to the side because wear parts (landslides mostly) are worn out, if the hitch is set up offset too far, or if some linkage in the steeering system is worn, bent, or broken bolt.

There is threaded adjustment on steering
pipe. Tire should lead in slightly toward
plowing. But landslides, leveling, etc all
important

If I rember right the bar that goes to steering wheel can be ajusted to swing to right
for going down the road, is that the problem?
