Broke a gearbox shaft on our MX10 Bushhog. Had less then 300 hours on it. Hit a small pine stump. That should not have even caused an issue. As I had hit it with my Woods 7ft finish mower. But got the shaft on the MX10.
So put both shafts in it. Hope to never do that again. Stump jumper on the good shaft was a bugger to get off. Had a chain and 30 ton jack on it. And still not moving. Stuck a torch in one of the holes and started heating the collar on the stumpjumper. And it popped off easy.
So now left with extra shaft, may try to find a single gearbox bushhog. And fix it with this extra shaft..
After doing a search a few weeks ago. Found where lots of peole had this issues. Sad JD did not take care of the owners.
