round baler belt

I bought a Vicon RP 1210 as my first round baler. Seller told me it was 2 ply belting. For those of you northern US folks familiar with Fleet Farm, I can find 3 ply belting there but the website doesn't mention 2 ply. Is this acceptable, and should I be looking at one type over another? Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but look online at Excel Belting. I get my belts there. They know their stuff. Good prices.

In replacing belts on my Hesston 5 x 6 roller (5560 was the model best I can remember) years ago which used 4" belts, I found that the 2
ply was a cheap version of a belt. My current baler is a 1991 JD 375 which rolls the 5 (long) x 4 (diam.) still has most of the original JD
OEM 3 ply diamond belts. I did recently replace the lacing tie wires which is good practice from time to time. If you don't care about
longevity go with 2; otherwise make it 3. Your baler really doesn't care. (opinion based on experience)
