Help my brother bought a 6 16 bottom trailer spring reset moldboard plow but we don't know what make it is and I cant find if on the web , we can get sheers and cheeks for it by matching up but here is where we need to know the make to get other parts . This plow has 4 springs per beam 2 long springs that lay down to hold the beam forward and 2 short springs that hold the beam down like a deep tiller and the peace that is under the 2 springs that hold the beam down has a roller in it and they need replacing. This plow is a light green in colour and the only numbers that I can find is AF264 stamped on the main frame on the front . When my brother bought it the guy said he though it was a Melrow but the guy the that handles Melrow parts says it not and this plow is a very ease pulling plow as we pull it with a 1850 cockshutt at 3.5 to 4 miles an hr. Sorry I cant get pictures to down load on hear as I know that would help.
Thanks in advance any help is appreciated.

Part numbers would/should help those more familiar with plows to help you. Can you find part numbers on any parts?

Ok Thanks I will look tomorrow to see if there is numbers on the back of the moldboards and I think there is a new shear in the shop

The Melroe was a warmed over[RR] Rieten Reset plow, It was made by a blacksmith in Cooperstown North Dakota. He invented that trip mechanism and put it on a John Deere plow, with star bottoms, they would really bring the rock's to the top, But the big thing they only came out of the ground about two inches. They did use two long springs that layed flat.

Without as pic, I"m guessing that it is a Model RR Melroe plow. Melroe used both AC (387?) bottoms and Star bottoms. So numbers on the moldboards may not ID the plow brand. Years ago I had Melroe 4-16 model 900, then a 4-18 model 902. The model RR was earlier.

numbers on 5 moldboards are P6522185 and the other is WIESE 619 16 and the new share that was matched up to the old one is 729742 009026 and the number stamped on the frame in the front is AF264 . Still cant get pictures to down load have to go see my sister-in-law for help she is smarter than I on the coumpter

(quoted from post at 20:08:31 10/03/17) 619 is a number for an Oliver moleboard

That is a Rieten Reset plow, the forerunner to the Melroe plow, They were designed to leave a little stubble on top, if your plowing where small grain's was raised.

Thanks for the input now to find parts for it, shares and shins we can get by matching them up from fife parts in Winnipeg but I don't know about rollers. Thanks again everyone for the reply's and also my sister-in-law for getting the pictures up for me.
