Hesston 565 T round baler

Bought this baler. It needs a couple belts and the electric tie is not working. I just make hay to use, not to sell. Are these balers any good? Will a JD 2940 run it OK. Baler has been maintained and not seen a huge amount of use. Do they bale tight. Thanks

They will make as tight of bale as you ask for. I baled with a 7045 Allis in front of my 565A. Was over kill for ponies but it rode nice. I have pulled it with a 830 Case but you don?t go very fast.

Thanks , what do the letters T, and A mean?

The "A" means "automatic" and the "T" means "tractor". The A models had an on-board pump and hydraulic control system and the tying and ejecting was done automatically. The T models were the same basic baler but operated off of the tractor's remote outlets and did not have the automatic features.
