Anybody got any experience with the tilt cable on a F-10 loader, my cable broke where it goes down to that cylinder [inside the left lift arm] and i cant even see in there as it goes around that pulley let alone get another piece threaded threw there, HELP.

changed several of them over the years, always by myself depending on which series F-10 you have will determine how hard or how easy the job will be
cnt

Mine is the type, with the tilt cylinder inside the square left hand lift tube, and the cable must be wedged or wrapped around something, because the tilt still works, the left side anyways, right side cable is loose, so kinda scared of the unknown. Is 60 feet the right amount of cable to get?

We always had the best luck with the steel cable with rope in the center, it would last better for us. The thinking was that the pure steel cable couldn't take some of the sharper bends. Depending on your F10 your mileage may very.

You should be able to easily replace it, done it several times with just one person. Pull the tilt lever out like you are going to tip the head and pull on the cable to get the cylinder extended fully. Once you do that you should see the head where the cable attaches on the end of the cylinder. You then take the bolts out and pull out the cable. It has been a while but I do believe you have to take the pulley at the top of the arm on the same side as the cylinder out to reach the cables.

Thread it through, make sure the cables are the same length and you are good to go. I am sorry but I can't remember how long the cable is. We had to finally retire our loader because we couldn't get the cylinders to hold oil anymore, the thing was just wore out. (rebuilt a few times through the years).
