Rhino Rotary Cutters

Just looking for opinions on how good Rhino rotary cutters are. I'm in the market for a 7 foot rotary cutter, and I've found a couple Rhinos in my area to look at, one is an SE7 and I don't know what the model number of the other is. Are Rhinos any good? I've also found a weathered Deere 709 as well, which appears a little stouter built.

Older Rhino cutters are good. I remember when they were named Servis cutter built on Singleton Blvd in Dallas Tx. I pick them up & sold them for JD dealer Where I was employed. JD 709 is much better cutter than the economy SE7. JD advertised that 709 would cut 4'' tress. I have owned a JD 709 for yrs & they are heavy.

I had a SE8 and I now have a 15 ft Rhino, don't know the model, and I have had good luck with them. I have had a couple of Bush Whackers, they were really good. I probably should have kept them.

Check out the Land Pride, we have a heavy duty 8 foot twin spindle that is supposed to cut 3 inch stuff. It is stout. Price was better than Rino or Brush Hog. Much better than JD.

Would a 709 be better with the stump jumper pan or not? The one I'm going to look at does not have a stump jumper. Thanks.

I have a 7 ft RHino BB84. Run it nehind the Farmall 95. Been going strong 17 years, but in truth only about 8 hrs per year. Bought it new in 2000 from IH dealer for $1600. About twice that now. If you are near SD I could let it go to a new home. PM me

I think a JD 709 without a stump jumper will be be fine if you make sure slip clutch isn't stuck solid.
