IH 510 Grain Drill disc removal help

I'm trying to remove the disc's on the double disc openers for my IH 510 grain drill. I removed the "star" clip holding the bearing in, but the disc will not come off the axle.

Do I need to get a bearing puller to remove it?

Is there something else holding it on?

Any help would be appreciated !

You have to remove the special IH bolt. There should be flat spots on two sides. Also, you have to think about which way the disc rotates when in the ground. The bolt is threaded so that it does not loosen when the disc is rotating. I don't know whether you have a single or double disc drill. On a double disc, the bolt for the left disc tightens counter-clockwise. The bolts can be tough to get off, especially if you have fertilizer drops on the drill. When I was fertilizing with my drill when planting, the fertilizer dust would cause the bolts to be seized. I replaced all of my IH discs with Shoup discs and Shoup furnishes bolts with standard hex heads and I quit fertilizing with the drill.
