Have a two bottom ferguson plow Type 14A , Serial#46161. I would like to know what year this plow is and also what this plow would be worth? it is in good shape (has surface rust), but otherwise good plow. Also, any place online to lookup this info for myself or any books or anything to find information on implements/tractors and such?

Thanks!

The first Ferguson 14" plows were model 14A from 1939-1942. The Ford script in the right beam was on the 1941 to 1942 models.
Cant help much with value...would guess to be at least a couple hundred on CL around here if complete.

First check and be sure you can still buy points for this plow,
If points are worn out and you can not buy new, then all you have is a large paper weight,
You will be unhappy,

I was going to trade for one years ago, owner let me try it out, would not go in the ground, I took it back, just kept my Ferguson 3x12" plow with
new points,
Reason I wanted to trade, the 3x12" plows are a bit much to pull with my TO35 Ferguson,

Had one that had ford script on both sides of both frount beems. Ferg tag on middle brace. Sold it to a collector that told me only 39 plows came like that.

Your 3rd bottom was an add on with your plow. Why not just unbolt the frame for the third bottom. You would also have to shift your third bottom with the longer landside and tail wheel into the second bottom position.
I have done this with the Fergusons and Ford 101 plows. Around here it's easier to sell a 2 bottom than a 3bottom and you get about the same price.
This will also give you an extra bottom and Coulter should you need it.
