Huber Thrashing Machine

My cousin has a Huber Model H-30 Thrashing Machine - it has always been stored in a barn. It has rubber tires and good working condition. I believe it still has the main belt that runs it. I have someone interested in buying it and would like an idea on what it would sell for. It was probably built in the late 30's or early 40's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Art B

Those things are so rare that its impossible to set a 'value'/price. Take it to an auction and buy it. you will learn the true value that day. Or you and your cousin sit down and have a conversation over a beer or coffee.Decide upon a price that the both of you can live with and are happy with. Then buy it.Fair to both partys.

I had a very nice, working condition McCormick thresher with all the belts, the manuals, everything. I'd bought it from an Amish friend many years ago. I thought it would be worth at least $1K. I took it to 3 auctions and it finally sold for something like $250.00. There has been another McCormick thresher like mine in similar shape offered on CL near me for 2 years with a starting price of $3K. Last I saw it was down to $1K and no takers. My point is that even though these are relatively rare machines and in fine shape, buyers are also rare and very tight with their money.

In conclusion, don't get your hopes up...

Depends where you live! In North East Scotland it was always 'thrashing' - 'threshing' was frightfully English!!!......

I'd be interested in seeing that thresher. Can't find it on Craigslist. Can you post a link to it?

Thanks
