new holland 855 with bale monitor

i bought a new holland 855 ..... new to round balers. it will form the core bale, but will not grow past the core formation.l
i thought the bale was the easy part, and the tieing etc was where i would have problems.

chain adjustment seems right. air cylinders not leaking ... set em low, set em hi.
Any suggestions on how to get past this problem..

From what I have heard the big roller gets slick and I've seen all sorts of things put on the roller to make it get traction against the hay.

I have an 855, I have had very few issues with mine, i have had to really watch when starting bales when the hay is actually too dry, when it is too dry, mine has a tendancy to make the initial core,
then simply plug the throat, not sure why, but I have to be careful not to over stuff it when starting, once the core is about a foot or so, i can go and it will eat everything.

I have my airbags set to 60 psig, however i do not believe this has anything to do with your core problem.
