275 hay dog springs

my 275 has 5 hay dogs,3 on top and 2 on the bottom.I have a couple of broken springs on the hay dogs I'm replacing. My baler has 1 stiffer looking spring on the top outside hay dog and 4 of the lighter springs that wrap around the hay dog. I was at dealer getting parts and the book showed 2 of the stiffer springs and 3 of the lighter springs but didn't show location of springs. does anyone know where the correct spring goes?thanks Joe

You kind of answered your own question. the three 'light' go on the the three (upper) dogs. The two other(hevy) go on the other two dogs. at least that's where I would put them.However,I have never seen (or used) the heavier spring.All the NH balers I've owned(78;282;283;425) used the 'lighter spring on all dogs.On your 275,I wonder if there is a clearance issue on the lower dogs,requireing the heavier coil on just one side. Crawl under and look.
