NH 1010 Bale Wagon Rolling Rack

New problem, can not get the rolling rack to roll forward, if i move the rack it will roll the cable... like no hydraulic pressure, however it has plenty of pressure to pull the rolling rack back to the rear. I did replace the hydraulic hose to the single bale unload motor, could it be i have an air lock, how do I bleed this?

I know the lever position, and when in the position to run it forward, it takes the slack out of the cable, and starts to move, then simply stops, if I move the rolling rack forward it takes up the slack, so I really think i either have an air lock, or a valve problem. when I move the lever to run the rolling rack back to retrieve it moves properly. I really think it is an air issue, found there is a check valve, can I bleed it there?

Unless you drained the cylinder I doubt it's an airlock. Sure the second table lever on the front doesn't need adjusting? That's what mine acts like when the lever needs to come up a little bit more. I've gotten by, by putting a thin stick under the stop #9 in the pic.

Hey I'm in Mich too. If you don't get this resolved by the time I get back I'd be more than happy to help in person.

On my 1010 I have to mess with the push/pull rods up front until the hydraulic motor that runs the feeder chain on the second table is turning. (I removed the chain years ago) At that point I can slide the rack forward. The motor stops while the rack is moving. I don't know if this is the way it is supposed to be but it works for me. I paid $600 at an auction about 8 years ago. I haul about 10 loads a year. Just replaced one of the original tires this year. When I got it all of the steel rollers on the rolling rack were froze up and had flat spots because the previous owner had fried to use it that way. The dealer wanted $80 apiece for new ones so I welded up the flat spots and ground them round again.

Mine is about the same shape as yours, no chain on the single bale unload, I will fight with it again today.

Ok found the problem and it is me. User forgot the second table lockout has to be set for the rolling rack to move forward. I guess my memory is npt what it used to be. I have decided to replacw the cables. Anyone know the length of each? I am going to try to measure them.

These machines love to be oiled.. I to welded my rollers up and ground so they would roll also..dirt and grass etc get in the track and they still have tendencies to scoot. Now that I know alittle about mine (1012) I plan to make improvements.. works good though..I bought mine for the single bale discharge mainly.

I just did mine.. wish i could remember the length.. sorry.. I took mine off and measured.. actually one broke on me and I measured and guestimated length.. not to expensive to replace...

I kind of measured, bought 15 foot of 3/16" and 25 foot of 5/16". both were plenty long.

Have to say it seems to work much, much better with new cables. Now if I can just remember to put the second table lockout in place next year... Lol.

Thanks everyone, and I hope this thread helps others.
