Farmall A brush hog?

I have a 1940 farmall A, does anyone know if it can use a rear brush hog since it's an offset pto? And if so is it ok for the shaft?

I'm not sure if an A has enough poop for a brush hog.LOL Assuming the tractor has a 3 point, simply offset the 'hog so the pto is in line.

Neighbor had an A and used to pull a 4' Woods mower behind it rather nicely. But, with no hydraulic system, he had to use a hand
crank to raise and lower it.....

Assuming a 40 A has the same dia PTO as my 40 B, you got another problem from the git go. My Bs PTO is the same size as the 30s Farmalls, NOT the standard size as on the C H M

I gotta dig WAY back in my feeble mind about the pto on that tractor. As I recall, the A pto consisted of a two earred dog
clutch. And, I think the B had the same set up. A neighbor's A was set up that way, and would occasionally split those ears
apart. The solution to it was to replace the driving shaft and the driven shaft with the unit from a C tractor. It was a pretty
easy operation and we had no more trouble with it splitting apart. And, it was a standard pto shaft after being updated....
