Hornet BH7600 Backhoe on Jubilee

I have spent the last few days (in between the rain and heat) tightening bolts and readjusting braces and adding more braces. My backhoe is much more stable, but I am still not satisfied. I believe that I will end up with a sub-frame from front to back of the tractor. My rear lift is very weak on this tractor anyway, so I may just do away with it and dedicate the backhoe permanently to it. Previous owner broke a piece out of the housing inside next to the hydraulic oil pathway. I have made some attempt to repair it, but it has failed. I think a FEL will be in the future after I build a sub-frame. The backhoe is quite usable, but just not as tight as I would like.

I would not even think about a backhoe on a tractor with out a front end loader on it first. On one like a Jubilee the front will be so light you will be lucky if you can drive it any where

Old is right. I have a Woods on my Ford 2600 with a Wagner FEL. The FEL keeps the front end down.

I guess I'm pretty lucky. It drives around just fine. Just keep the hoe up and in all the way. My whole property is level ground and I don't get out of 1st gear. No bumps in this sand country of Florida. It is, of course, light in the front. Feels like power steering. And I don't do anything fast. I am going to put some weight on the front until I can get the frame and loader finished. Going to get steel next week and get started.

That hoe looks to me to be too much for that little axle housing. Be fore you use it you need to locate the pressure relief and reduce your working pressure.

Just looks that way from the angle the picture was taken. It is actually sized well for an NAA. Backhoe operates from a pto driven pump. I don't run it anywhere near full 540 pto speed.

Your lucky then. I know years ago I took the loader off my 841S and tried to use it for some stuff and boy was the front end way to light for some of what I was doing and with the loader on no problem with light front. I also have a 1950 8N with a back hoe and it has a loader and also a 500lbs cement block on the front and with out that block if you lift the hoe up the front also comes up. Plus you cannot use 4th gear because the front wheels are off the ground more then on the ground
