MM wire Hay baler?

Trying to identify and save this baker from the scrap metal yard! Any help or interest would be appreciated.

I saw one once up in Nebr. I never saw so many mechanical gadgits on top the bale chamber before. I wonder how reliable these bailers were. I cant find one running on U Tubes.

Years ago the local hay-straw buyer baled a lot in the field that he bought and he had a Moline wire tye baler (do not know if different model or not) but he baled several times more than an average farmer would buying all over the country. And he pulled it with a MM Z tractor. That was the only wire baler around but made better bales for him to haul getting them home and again to deliever. Raked with a mid series B John Deere and the haybine he had was pulled with an Oliver S55.

yep it looks kinda complicated!

Looks just like my K-3 Bale-O-Matic. I sure would like to find a home for mine. Had big plans to do something with it, which sadly never happened. Located in Northern Michigan. Hate to see mine go to a scrapper too..

(quoted from post at 18:55:57 08/04/17) Could be a Bale-o-Matic. Yes, that's what MM called their first baler. In this video you can see one working.
NH 65 and MM baler working.
Yes that's it! And Yes it does look like a lot of gadgets to get back moving all at one time..lol Thanks for sharing the link. The spot where it had Bale-o-matic is still visible. But we had no idea what was supposed to be there.A tree fell on the very top back. nothing else is bent. Just paint is all gone. lol maybe too big of a project for me right now tho.

My brother and I are gonna do a little checking to see if it is worth fooling with or if we can even find any manuals or parts. This unit didnt come with any info. We have no idea where to look for any kind of serial number or other identifying marks. Like what year or model it is. but it is a Bale-o-matic for sure.

Grew up baling with one of these balers. It has a vertical plunger, right where all the damage is, would take a lot of new iron to get it all straight again, plus the Wisconsin V4 is more than likely frozen, at least the valves are. Made very heavy bales, but rarely missed a tie. Good luck if you try to fix.

Got any pictures! We might be interested. My wife and I love road trips. We came up that way about 3 years ago to pick up a header for a combine.

I think on mine there is a plate on the back with maybe the model and serial number. Don't have any pics right now, could take some later and try to post them, although I have never posted pics on here before. If you are looking for one to mess with, I am very interested in someone ending up with it. Haven't had motor running for maybe 4 or 5 years. I hate to see it go for scrap, so for someone interested in restoring one lets talk.
