Ford 551 round baler

Does anyone have a picture of how the twine
knives go on a Ford 551 baler? I've tried
sharpening I've tried brand new. Best I can
get is to cut every other bale which is a
real pain. I'm sure I'm not putting it
together correctly but just can't quite
figure it out. Thanks

No pictures,but isn't that just a mower knife that swings up when the twine arm hits it? A new serrated knife should do the trick you'd think.

It's actually a two piece knife and they cost $20 each. Yes it does swing up when the twine arm hits it.

They're the same as a Gehl 1500 if that helps your search. I had one,but I traded it off on a new Gehl in 1981,so my memory is fuzzy on them.

My friend had a baler he bought used and the cutter was installed wrong. It looked like two sickle sections. We put them back to back to back after sharpening and it cut every time. It was a rounder 55 or 5500??
