I have a Kuhn grs 21 tedder/rake and I'm trying to separate the top portion of one of the baskets. I needed to remove the entire basket assembly (not really a basket on this model) on one side and now I can't get it put back together because I can't get the drive shaft back into the gear in the top of the 'basket'. My thought is that if I can remove the top portion of the 'basket' where the gears are I can get to the gear that slides on the drive shaft, put it on and reassemble the whole thing. Problem is I can't get that top off. I've removed all the tedding arms and pounded on the thing but no luck. There is a plug on the top of the unit and inside I can feel amongst the grease a threaded bolt whole. Am I supposed to get a bolt that fits that and screw it in to pop the top off??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
