I doubt you will be able to find replacement parts, welding supply shops used to repair them (they got expensive to repair, insurance companies probably had a hand in that). Now its cheaper, and easier to just get a new regulator.

That is a Smith's regulator. It should be rebuildable, no problem. I would have a professional do it. JDSeller, who posts regularly on here uses a shop in Ohio for torch repair. I believe they have a good reputation and reasonable charges. I would not attempt it myself. Smith's are top of the line.

i wouldnt say it needs rebuilidng its just leaking around the part i have in the picture, is that a relief valve or somethng else?

Is that a "repaired" hole in the casting in the lower left corner of the picture? If so, do not repair it. Your freshly refilled oxygen bottle has 2,000 to 2,500 PSI going directly into the regulator. If that is a repair, it may be possible that this could turn the regulator to grenade like shrapnel. I'd guess that regulator is at least 40 years old, judging by the "Minneapolis, MN". Smith moved to South Dakota a good number of years ago. I have 5 Smith welding sets and have had excellent service from all of them.

I wouldn't waste any $$ on repairing that one. Buy a new Smith or genuine Victor oxygen regulator, and don't try to get by with a CO2 regulator which has similar PSI ratings. ( I thought about that once as I had an excellent CO2 regulator on hand. I was advised by my welding shop that CO2 would be in the pores of the metal and diaphram, and when exposed to high pressure pure O2 could cause an instant explosion).

BTW, Smith is now owned by Miller Welders, but still located in S.D.

I did not see a repaired hole, looks like whats left of a mud daubber's nest to me. Agree if that is a repair, then replace it all.
